We’re looking for people to become members of Equal Voices. As a member you will be kept up-to-date on what is happening with Equal Voices, your membership fee will provide financial support to the work of Equal Voices, and you will be able to vote in our Annual General Meetings.
Reconciliation always begins with apology. We are calling Christians across Australia to apologise to LGBTIQ+ people for the ways they and the churches have treated LGBTIQ+ people. You can read the reasons why we believe an apology is in order and view the draft text of our apology by following the link below.
Equal Voices is a movement of Australian Christians responding to the call of Jesus to be reconciled with one another in the body of Christ. We acknowledge that the church, globally and locally, has often failed to be Christlike, and has been flawed in its understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) realities and experience.
